Onion Sauce



Onion Sauce Recipe



Ingredients:
1 Can of chopped tomatoes
3 cloves of Garlic
2 Onions
Half a Thumb of ginger
Seasoning Salt
1/2 cup of Olive Oil

Method:
1. Slice the onion 1 cm thick for meat
2. Dice Peppers (as much heat as you please or not)
3.chop Garlic and Ginger

4. Add Oil into the pan and let it get heated (to test if hot enough put a pieces of onion in and if it sizzle its ready)

 CAUTION!!!

5. Add the can of tin tomatoes and peppers. Let it fry for some mins

6. This is the time you will add your onion

7.  Add your Seasoning Salt

8. Now you wait for it to fry and cook until your onion turns translucent

And BAMM!!! your sauce is ready  for your Sweet Potato Fritters

  1. I use a similar method for my tomato stew but my onions are usually smaller and they go in first... looks very tasty, wouldn't mind trying it!

    1. There are diff ways to start it off true to that
      but in this case I wanted the tomatoes to fry up first so it would be a fry up sauce without that much tomato liquid, onions are big because they need to be at least for me heheh and they do tent to shrink up and i didn't want that versatile sauce though.

      I was inspired by the Nigerian street food
      'The roasted Yam and Onion sauce' I was feeling peckishh for that one street food on this day
